Joseph’s Priorities for NM House District 4

1. Renewable Energy Solutions: Recognizing the urgent need for sustainable and affordable energy, Joseph advocates for the expansion of microgrids and renewable resources like solar and wind power. His initiatives aim to reduce energy costs and ensure that every household has reliable access to electricity, paving the way for a greener, more sustainable district.

2. Quality, Accessible Healthcare: Joseph has witnessed firsthand the challenges our community faces in accessing comprehensive healthcare services. He is dedicated to improving behavioral health services and ensuring that mental health care is as accessible as physical health care. His plan includes expanding services, increasing funding, and removing bureaucratic hurdles that prevent our residents from receiving the care they need.

3. Affordable Housing Development: With a sharp focus on the housing crisis, Joseph plans to advocate for policies that will increase the availability of affordable housing. By supporting projects like the modular home initiative and working with state and local governments to reduce construction costs, he aims to ensure that every family in our district has a safe and affordable place to call home.

4. Economic Growth and Job Creation: Understanding the importance of a strong local economy, Joseph will work to attract new businesses and support existing ones, creating high-paying, stable jobs for our residents. He is committed to fostering an environment where small businesses can thrive and where our workforce can acquire the skills needed for the jobs of tomorrow.

5. Education and Youth Programs: Believing in the power of education, Joseph intends to fight for better funding for our schools, enhance educational programs, and ensure that our children receive the best possible start in life. He is passionate about reopening and sustaining youth programs that provide both educational and cultural value.

6. Community Safety and Justice: Joseph is deeply committed to enhancing safety and justice within our district, particularly addressing the crisis of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Relatives (MMIWR). He plans to work closely with local law enforcement and community leaders to develop and implement strategies that increase safety and ensure justice for all community members.
